Affinity Farm presents a mini-camp open to children ages 4 to 16 years old. The camp runs from 3:00 to 5:00 on the first Saturday of April, May, June, September, October and November. These mini-camps will be an introduction to the beginning skills of riding a horse and caring for them. The schedule includes: safety around horses, haltering, leading and tying, feeding, stable care, grooming and tacking. The remaining 20 minutes is spent riding and learning basic position and control at the walk. |
| Children should dress in appropriate clothing which includes long pants for riding, and sturdy closed toe shoes. Camps are limited to a maximum of twenty students. Students learn about horses in a fun, relaxed atmosphere with our experienced instructors. Applications must be received at least one week prior to the camp date. Payment is due with the completed application and is non-refundable. The cost is $50.00 per student. |
