You should wear snug fitting, long pants and hard soled shoes with a small heel. We have helmets available for you to borrow for your first few lessons.

3. How early should I arrive?
You should arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled lesson time to get your horse groomed and tacked.

4. Do I need an evaluation?
You need an evaluation if you have ridden before so we can determine which class would be best for you.

6. Can I bring guests to watch my lesson?
Guests are always welcome, please print and have them fill out a waiver form before coming.

7. Do I groom and tack my own horse?
Yes, your first couple of lessons will include the proper way to prepare your horse to ride. This allows you and your horse to develop a relationship.

8. What types of horses/ponies do you have?
We have horses and ponies of all sizes, breeds and abilities. Some of the breeds we have are: thoroughbreds, arabians, quarter horses, shetland ponies and a haflinger.

9. When can I participate in shows?
We host and attend many different shows throughout the year. If you are interested, ask your instructor. Shows offer classes for all different levels of riders.

Please call us and let us know you will not be able to make it. You may make up the lesson in the month that you missed it.

12. Is there opportunity to work off lesson tuition?
Yes, occasionally we have openings for working students. It's a great way to learn more about horses.

13. What is the difference between practice rides and leasing?
Practice rides are scheduled, usually once a week. When you lease a horse, you may come out whenever it is convenient for you- up to three times per week for a share lease and as many times as you want for a full lease.

14. What is the youngest students you will teach?
We teach kids as young as 2 years old. We offer 1/2 hour lessons for youngsters.

15. Do you offer group programs or discounts?
We do offer group programs to scouts, day cares, camps and other groups. Most group programs are run just like our mini-camps but can be catered to your needs.

16. Is it best to start off in group or private classes?
We encourage people to start off with private or semi-private 1/2 hour lessons for a month before moving into a group class. Our 1/2 hour lessons are a great way to learn the basics and get into shape before riding in a one hour group class.
